Merlin, along with the rest of the F7, is cursed by the Fairy Princess after mistaking her for a witch due to her appearance. Wanting to teach them a lesson, she curses them to transform into "little ugly green monsters" whenever people look at them. The curse can only be broken with a kiss from the "most beautiful woman in the world."
